New Power Rangers Film's VR Experience Offers Closer Look at Zords

Film opens on March 24
Qualcomm Technologies and Lionsgate revealed artwork from the Power Rangers Virtual Reality experience at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) on Sunday. The artwork shows a closer look at the Zord designs for the film.

Lionsgate previously streamed a English-language trailer for the film in October. The trailer features the song “I Walk The Line” by singer Halsey and hints at the movie's darker tone.

Lionsgate describes the new Power Rangers film:
Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

The film is planned for a March 24, 2017 release. The main cast includes:
Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger Jason
Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger Kimberly
Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger Zack
R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger Billy

In addition to the main cast, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston plays Zordon, Elizabeth Banks plays Rita Repulsa, and David Denman plays Sam Scott (the father of the Red Ranger).
